Brown Orchid Amethyst by Fragrance World 80ml Eau De Parfum
Amethyst is the gentlest reading in the Brown Orchid range. Where the original leans dark and resinous, this one opens with blueberry and citrus, moves through a soft white floral heart, and finishes warm rather than heavy. It is the version to reach for if the rest of the line has always felt like too much.
What it smells like
Blueberry is the first thing you notice, and it is the note that makes this one recognisable. It reads jammy rather than sharp, with bergamot and lemon lifting it so the opening stays bright instead of turning syrupy.
The heart is where it becomes a floral. Gardenia and lily of the valley give a creamy, slightly dewy white-flower character, mimosa adds a powdery softness, and a thread of sage keeps it from going fully sweet. This is the longest and most flattering phase.
