Description

Sherif by Lattafa 100ml Eau De Parfum

Sherif is Lattafa’s 2025 green apple release, and it is one of the freshest things the house has made. Crisp apple leads with petitgrain and bergamot behind it, a woody heart of cedarwood, cashmeran and violet follows, and it finishes on oakmoss, musk and amber. Bright, juicy and clean, it is built for warm weather and daylight rather than the rich oriental territory Lattafa is better known for.

Fragrance notes

  • Top: Apple, petitgrain, bergamot
  • Heart: Cedarwood, cashmeran, violet
  • Base: Oakmoss, musk, amber

Lattafa’s own marketing lists a shorter version of this, naming only bergamot and apple, cashmeran and violet, and an ambery musk. The fuller pyramid above is the one recorded independently, and petitgrain, cedarwood and oakmoss are all genuinely present in the composition.

What it smells like

The opening is the whole selling point. Apple arrives immediately, green and juicy rather than baked, with the tartness of a fresh Granny Smith. Bergamot sparkles over it and petitgrain adds a bitter green edge from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree, which stops the fruit reading as purely sweet. Several wearers describe it as green apple sweets, and that is a fair impression of the first ten minutes.

The heart keeps things smooth. Cashmeran brings a soft, plush warmth, cedarwood gives dry structure, and violet adds a gentle powdery quality. This phase is more subtle than the opening and it is where the fragrance settles into something wearable rather than attention-grabbing.

The base is clean and quiet. Oakmoss lends a mossy earthiness, musk smooths everything, and amber adds a low warmth. It sits close to the skin from here.

Inspired by

Sherif is widely compared to Parfums de Marly Greenley based on community feedback, and the comparison is one of the most consistently reported in recent Lattafa releases. Owners of both describe Sherif as sweeter and juicier, with less of the grassy green character the original carries, and several note that Sherif outperforms it on longevity and projection.

It is an interpretation rather than a copy, and it sits in the same green apple territory without matching the original note for note. Perfumeo is not affiliated with or endorsed by Parfums de Marly, and all brand names remain the property of their respective owners.

The honest view

Sherif does one thing very well and does not pretend to do more. The apple is excellent and the performance is strong for a fresh fragrance, and those two facts are why people buy it.

The criticism is worth knowing. Experienced wearers point out that the sweetness dominates, and that the cedarwood and oakmoss in the base are harder to detect than the note list suggests. More than one has described it as smelling like a very good shower gel: pleasant, clean, and not especially complex. If you want a fragrance with depth and evolution, this is not it. If you want a bright green apple scent that lasts all day, it is one of the best value options available.

Performance

Better than most fresh fragrances manage, and this is where Sherif genuinely earns its reputation. Owners who also own more expensive green fragrances report Sherif outlasting and out-projecting them. Expect a full working day on skin with clear projection through the first several hours, and longer on clothing. Two or three sprays are plenty.

When to wear it

Spring and summer first, and it is comfortable in real heat where heavier fragrances struggle. It suits the office, daytime, commuting and casual wear, and it is clean enough that nobody around you will object to it. The musk and amber base means it still works on cooler days, though it will feel light in deep winter.

Who is it for?

Lattafa markets Sherif to men and independent databases list it that way, though nothing in a green apple and musk composition rules anyone out, and plenty of women wear it. It suits anyone who likes fresh, fruity, clean fragrances, and it is an easy first Lattafa for someone who finds the brand’s sweeter oriental releases too much.

It will not suit you if you dislike sweetness, or if you want something with the richness and complexity Lattafa usually delivers.

Frequently Asked Questions

What does Sherif smell like? Crisp green apple with bergamot and bitter green petitgrain, opening into cedarwood, cashmeran and violet, then settling on oakmoss, musk and amber. Fresh, fruity and clean rather than sweet and heavy.

How long does Sherif last? A full working day on skin with clear early projection, and longer on clothing. It is one of the stronger performers among fresh fragrances at this price.

Is Sherif too sweet? The apple is prominent and some wearers find the sweetness dominates the greener and woodier notes. It is sweeter than a classic green fragrance but a long way from a gourmand.

Is Sherif a men’s fragrance? It is marketed to men and listed that way by the fragrance databases, but green apple and musk are not gendered and plenty of women wear it comfortably.

What season is Sherif for? Spring and summer suit it best, and it handles heat well. It remains wearable in cooler months for daytime.

Is this bottle genuine? Yes. Every bottle at Perfumeo is 100% authentic, factory sealed and sourced through authorised distributors.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your fragrances 100% genuine?
Yes. Every fragrance we sell is authentic, brand-new and factory-sealed, sourced from authorised suppliers. We never sell testers, refills or imitations — each bottle is batch-coded so you can verify it.
How fast is delivery?
We offer free tracked UK delivery on every order. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are dispatched the same day, and typically arrive within 2–3 working days.
How long will the scent last?
Longevity varies by fragrance and skin type. You can see our guidance for this scent in the Fragrance Profile above — richer amber, oud and gourmand scents generally last longest, while fresh and citrus styles are lighter.
How should I store my perfume?
Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity — a cool, dark drawer or cupboard is ideal. Stored well, a sealed fragrance keeps its quality for years.
