Sumatran Tiger by Brandy Prestige: Bergamot, Jasmine and Amber
Sumatran Tiger is built for presence. Bergamot and mandarin open it bright and radiant, which is a deliberate misdirection, because within twenty minutes it has turned into something considerably warmer.
Jasmine and sandalwood carry the heart. The jasmine is the interesting choice here, since it is more often used in feminine compositions, and against sandalwood it reads rich rather than floral. That pairing gives the fragrance a smoothness the citrus opening does not prepare you for.
The base is amber and warm woods, and this is where it settles for the long haul. Dense, resinous and unmistakably the point of the fragrance.

How it wears
Extrait concentration and an amber base is the combination that produces the longest wear of anything in this category. Expect strong projection through the opening hours and a warm trail that holds well into the evening.
Autumn and winter. Amber compositions become oppressive in warm rooms, and this is not a fragrance to over-apply. Two sprays, and one if you are indoors.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants to be noticed. This is not a subtle fragrance and it is not trying to be, which makes it a poor choice for a shared office and a good one for an evening out.
If you want the same warmth with more complexity, Aurum takes a similar bright-to-woody route with considerably more going on in the middle.
