Noir is the dark one in the Al Majed Oud range, built on the tension between light and shadow. Berries open it, orris root gives the middle a powdery elegance, and it lands on tobacco, oud and leather. Smoky and serious.
What it smells like
The berry opening is brief and does its job: a flash of dark fruit that stops the fragrance from being severe from the first spray. Orris root follows with a dry, powdery, slightly earthy floral character that reads expensive.
The base is the point of it. Tobacco brings a sweet, cured warmth, oud adds resinous depth, and leather gives the whole thing an animalic edge. This is a fragrance that sits close and lasts.
When to wear it
Autumn and winter evenings. The tobacco and leather warm up in cold air and the oud holds all day. Too heavy for summer daytime.
Who is it for?
Listed for men and women. The composition is genuinely shared, though the leather and oud give it traditional weight.
