Boisée is the woody one, and it is the most layered fragrance in the range. Bergamot, incense and violet open it, a heart of rose, leather and cypress gives it structure, and cedarwood, patchouli and musk carry it out.
What it smells like
Bergamot lights the opening while incense immediately adds smoke underneath it, and violet threads a powdery softness through both. It is a more interesting first five minutes than most woody fragrances manage.
The heart is where it earns its name. Rose and leather is a classic Middle Eastern pairing, and cypress adds a green, resinous dryness that keeps the rose from turning sweet.
Cedarwood and patchouli finish it dry and earthy, with musk softening the edges into a warm skin scent.
When to wear it
Built for cold weather. The incense and cedar suit autumn and winter, and it works for both day and evening.
Who is it for?
Unisex. Rose, leather and cypress are worn across the board in Arabian perfumery.
