Imperium by Brandy Prestige: Pear, Citrus and Modern Woods
Imperium is the most contemporary composition in the Prestige line, and the note list tells you why. Alongside the pear, bergamot and mandarin you get georgywood, ambrofix and akigalawood, three modern captive materials that most houses at this price never touch.
The opening is bright and clean. Pear leads, juicy without being sugary, with mandarin and bergamot behind it and ginger adding a dry spark. Orange blossom softens the heart and georgywood begins introducing the woody structure early.
Where it gets interesting is the base. Ambrofix gives it a mineral, salty-amber quality with real projection, akigalawood adds a peppery woody complexity, and cedar and musk hold it together. This is the modern woody-amber style, executed properly.

How it wears
Ambrofix is a projection material, so this carries further than the note list suggests. Combined with extrait concentration, expect it to be noticed for several hours before settling into a clean woody skin scent.
Genuinely year round. The fruit and citrus keep it wearable in warm weather while the woody base gives it enough substance for colder months. One of the few in the range that works in an office without apology.
Who it suits
Anyone who likes fresh fragrances but finds most of them thin. The modern woods here give it a backbone that a straightforward citrus lacks.
Also worth trying if you already wear contemporary designer woody-ambers and want something in that register without the designer outlay.
