L’Atelier Pistache by Brandy Prestige: Pistachio Gelato
L’Atelier Pistache is the most literal gourmand Brandy makes. Pistachio and an ice cream accord open it, with hazelnut adding a second nutty layer, bergamot lifting the sweetness and cardamom giving it a faint spice. It smells like a gelato counter, which is precisely the intention.

The heart is unexpectedly floral and fruity. Pear, white peach and raspberry sit alongside lily of the valley, jasmine and peony, which stops the whole thing collapsing into pure dessert. That contrast is what makes it wearable rather than sickly.
The base returns to the sweet shop: whipped cream, marshmallow and cotton candy, with tonka bean and cacao adding depth and sandalwood giving it a woody floor to stand on.
Nineteen published notes makes this one of the more complex compositions in the Prestige line.

How it wears
Extrait concentration keeps the pistachio and cream accords present far longer than an eau de parfum would manage with the same materials. The floral heart carries the middle hours, and the marshmallow base holds close to the skin into the evening.
Cooler weather suits it, though the fruit and florals make it more wearable in mild conditions than a heavier gourmand would be.

Anyone who enjoys sweet fragrances and wants one with genuine complexity rather than a single sugary note repeated. The floral heart is what separates it from the rest of the category.
