Amber Saffron is the most complex thing French Avenue make and the hardest to summarise. A green, minty, fruity citrus opening with saffron cutting through it, a full floral heart of carnation, lily of the valley, rose and jasmine, then a long base of amber, oud, patchouli, tonka and balsamic woods. Three distinct acts rather than one idea stretched out.

Is It a Dupe of Anything?

No, and we are not going to invent one. French Avenue make no comparison themselves. We checked all 153 products on their own store and they never name another perfume anywhere.

More importantly, wearers do not agree either. We read the reviews looking for a consensus and there is not one. Three reviewers name Initio Oud for Greatness, two name Tom Ford Oud Wood, and then it scatters into single mentions of Acqua di Parma Zafferano, Maison Crivelli Safran Secret, Rasasi La Yuqawam and Lattafa External Oud. Those are six different fragrances across four different styles. That is not a consensus, it is noise, and building this page around any one of them would be dishonest.
