Description

Lattafa Petra 100ml Eau de Parfum

Petra is rum and plum over tuberose and coconut, landing on vanilla, praline and musk. Boozy and tropical with a big white floral through the middle, which is a stranger combination than it sounds and the reason this one is worth paying attention to. Launched in 2025 and listed unisex.

Is It a Dupe of Anything?

Not of a designer fragrance, no, and we are not going to invent one. We read through the reviews looking for a consensus and there is not one. Mugler Alien, Olympea Legend, Versace Crystal Noir, BDK Tubereuse Imperiale and Tommy Girl Poolside all get a single mention each. One of something is an opinion, not a comparison worth printing.

What wearers do consistently compare it to is other Arabian fragrances, which is far more useful to you. Three names come up repeatedly: Teriaq Intense, Khamrah and Quattro Pizzi. Lattafa’s own Victoria gets named too, as the closest relative but with a lemon character Petra does not have.

That tells you the real decision here is not Petra against something expensive. It is Petra against the boozy gourmand you probably already own. So that is the question this page answers.

Fragrance Profile

Top: Rum, Plum.
Heart: Tuberose, Coconut.
Base: Vanilla, Musk, Praline.

Seven notes, which is unusually tight for Lattafa and part of why it reads clearly rather than muddled.

The rum and plum opening is the boozy signature this whole category runs on. What makes Petra different is the heart: tuberose is a heavy, creamy, almost fleshy white flower, and putting it against coconut turns the fragrance tropical and slightly suntan-lotion in the best sense. Most boozy gourmands go from rum straight into dessert. Petra detours through a flower first, then arrives at praline and vanilla.

If you have tried the big Lattafa boozy releases and found them all slightly samey, the tuberose is the thing that will register as new.

Petra, Teriaq Intense, Khamrah or Victoria?

This is the question people actually arrive with, and we stock all four, so here is the honest version.

  • Petra is the lightest and most tropical of the group. Reviewers who own Teriaq Intense repeatedly describe Petra as its daytime version. Coconut and tuberose are what set it apart.
  • Teriaq Intense is denser, sweeter and heavier. If you want the boozy gourmand at full volume for evenings, this is the one, and Petra will feel thin next to it.
  • Khamrah is the one everyone knows, and it is spicier and more cinnamon-and-date-led than Petra. Boozier in character, less fruity, no coconut.
  • Victoria is the closest relative. Several reviewers say Petra is Victoria without the lemon, so if you own Victoria and liked it but wanted it creamier, Petra is the move.

The short version: buy Petra for warm weather and daytime, Teriaq Intense for cold weather and evenings, Khamrah if you want the spiced classic, Victoria if you want citrus in the mix. The milder original Teriaq sits between Petra and the Intense.

Performance

Expect solid projection for the first two to three hours while the rum, plum and coconut are doing the work, then a close praline and vanilla drydown that holds on skin six to eight hours, and longer on clothing. Two sprays. Gourmands with a praline base tend to outlast their opening, and this one does.

When to Wear It

This is the warm-weather member of the family. Spring and summer, daytime, holidays, and evenings when the weather is mild. In genuine cold it loses the tropical lift that makes it interesting, and that is when you would reach for Teriaq Intense instead.

Who It’s For

Anyone who likes boozy gourmands but finds most of them too heavy for daytime. Also anyone who likes coconut fragrances and wants one with more structure than the usual suncream accords. Listed unisex and wears that way, with the tuberose giving it a slight feminine lean.

Who should skip it. If you dislike tuberose, skip this one, because it is not a background note here. And if you want the loudest possible boozy gourmand, Petra is deliberately not that.

Why You’ll Love It

  • Tuberose and coconut in a boozy gourmand, which almost nothing else in this category does
  • Seven notes rather than fourteen, so it reads clean rather than muddled
  • The daytime and warm-weather option in a family of heavy evening fragrances
  • Currently £22.99, down from £39.99
  • Sealed, batch-coded, and shipped free and tracked from our UK warehouse

Frequently Asked Questions

What is Lattafa Petra a dupe of?
No designer fragrance that we can support. The named comparisons are single mentions across a dozen different originals, which is not a consensus. Wearers consistently compare it to other Arabian fragrances instead, mainly Teriaq Intense, Khamrah and Victoria.

What does Petra smell like?
Rum and plum opening, creamy tuberose and coconut through the middle, then praline, vanilla and musk. Boozy and tropical rather than spiced.

Is Petra similar to Khamrah?
Related but not the same. Khamrah is spicier and leads on cinnamon and dates. Petra is fruitier and tropical, with coconut and a white floral heart that Khamrah does not have.

Is it the same as Petra Viola?
No. Petra Viola is a separate Lattafa fragrance. Check which one you are ordering.

Is it too sweet?
It is sweet, from the praline and vanilla, but the tuberose and coconut keep it from reading as straight dessert.

Is it for men or women?
Lattafa list it for both. The tuberose gives it a soft feminine lean without ruling anyone out.

How long does it last?
Six to eight hours on skin, longer on clothing.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your fragrances 100% genuine?
Yes. Every fragrance we sell is authentic, brand-new and factory-sealed, sourced from authorised suppliers. We never sell testers, refills or imitations — each bottle is batch-coded so you can verify it.
How fast is delivery?
We offer free tracked UK delivery on every order. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are dispatched the same day, and typically arrive within 2–3 working days.
How long will the scent last?
Longevity varies by fragrance and skin type. You can see our guidance for this scent in the Fragrance Profile above — richer amber, oud and gourmand scents generally last longest, while fresh and citrus styles are lighter.
How should I store my perfume?
Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity — a cool, dark drawer or cupboard is ideal. Stored well, a sealed fragrance keeps its quality for years.
