Mangue 99 by Brandy Prestige: Mango, Jasmine and Incense
Mangue 99 does something clever with a note that usually goes wrong. Mango in perfumery tends toward the tropical-cocktail end, sweet and slightly plastic. Here it opens juicy and ripe with bergamot cutting through it, and then hands over to something far more serious.
The heart is the surprise. Jasmine and white florals give it a proper perfumery structure, and olibanum brings smoky incense into what could easily have been a straightforward fruity. That combination of ripe fruit against resin is the whole idea, and it is a difficult balance to hold.
Vanilla and sandalwood close it out, creamy and warm, which softens the incense without erasing it.

How it wears
Seven notes is a tight composition, and that works in its favour. Nothing competes, and the mango-to-incense transition happens cleanly rather than muddling.
Extrait concentration keeps the fruit alive far longer than usual. Mango is volatile and normally disappears within twenty minutes in weaker formulations, so an extrait version holds the opening well into the first hour.
Warm weather suits the fruit, cold weather suits the incense, which makes it genuinely year round.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants a fruity fragrance with some gravity to it. The olibanum stops this reading as a summer throwaway.
Also a good option if incense fragrances usually feel too austere. The mango here makes the resin approachable in a way a pure incense composition would not be.
