Inspiration by Brandy: Citrus, Ginger and Black Tea
Inspiration is the most detailed note list in the standard Brandy range, and the sourcing detail is unusual for the price. Citron, Calabrian bergamot and Sicilian orange open it, a three-way citrus accord that reads bright and expensive rather than sharp.
The heart is where it separates itself. Tunisian neroli adds a clean floral lift, Nigerian ginger brings warmth and a peppery edge, and Ceylon cinnamon gives it spice without turning into a gourmand. The balance between fresh and warm here is the whole appeal.
The base is the interesting part. Chinese black tea is an unusual note and gives the dry-down a dry, tannic quality, with ambroxan providing projection, guaiac wood adding smoke, and olibanum bringing incense underneath. It finishes considerably more complex than it starts.

How it wears
The ambroxan in the base carries this further than a citrus opening would suggest, and the tea and incense keep it interesting well past the point where most fresh fragrances flatten out.
