Noche Paris Pour Femme by Brandy Prestige: Lavender, Orange Blossom and Vanilla
Noche Paris Pour Femme is built on a contrast that only started working in feminine perfumery relatively recently. Lavender, traditionally a masculine material, sits against vanilla and orange blossom, and the tension between the herbal sharpness and the sweetness is the whole composition.
It opens on lavender and mandarin, bright and slightly bracing. Lavender continues into the heart, joined by Tunisian orange blossom, jasmine sambac and orchid, and this is where it turns properly floral without losing the aromatic edge underneath.
The base is where it becomes comforting. Madagascar vanilla and tonka bean give it warmth and sweetness, ambergris adds a soft mineral depth, and vetiver keeps a thread of dryness running through so it never becomes cloying.
