Cherry Gold by Brandy: Cherry, Caramel and Almond
Cherry Gold is the sweetest thing Brandy makes, and it commits to that without apology. Cherry leads from the first spray, ripe and juicy rather than medicinal, with strawberry and pomegranate alongside it adding tartness that stops the fruit turning into syrup.
The heart is pure dessert. Caramel, almond and vanilla together, the combination that has driven the cherry gourmand trend for the last few years, and here it reads soft and edible rather than cloying.
The base is what rescues it. Musk, sandalwood, tonka bean and amber give the dry-down warmth and a woody floor, so it finishes golden rather than sugary. Without that base this would be a great deal of sweetness with nowhere to go.

How it wears
Moderate projection, sitting close and sweet on the skin rather than filling a room. Expect around five to seven hours on skin and longer on clothing. The cherry and caramel lead for the first couple of hours before the tonka and amber base takes over.
Autumn and winter suit it best. Sweet gourmands gain from cold air and become heavy in warm rooms.

Anyone who wants a proper cherry gourmand. The note has been heavily trend-driven recently, and this is a competent version at a price that makes it easy to try.
