Description
Rose Oud by Brandy: Rose, Saffron and Agarwood
Rose Oud is the oldest pairing in Middle Eastern perfumery, and Brandy plays it straight rather than trying to modernise it. Rose leads from the opening, with bergamot lifting it and saffron adding that warm, faintly leathery glow that always sits well against agarwood.
The heart brings oud in properly, with patchouli deepening the earthiness and geranium contributing a green, rosy sharpness that keeps the floral thread alive as the wood takes over.
Amber, sandalwood, musk and vanilla close it out. The vanilla is restrained, so the finish reads warm and resinous rather than sweet, which is the correct way round for this style.

How it wears
Strong projection for the first couple of hours, settling closer to the skin as it dries down. Expect six to eight hours on skin and considerably longer on fabric.
Autumn and winter, evenings rather than daytime. Rose and oud both gain from cold air and become heavy in a warm room.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants the classic Arabian rose-oud done without complication. Genuinely unisex, and worn by everyone across the Gulf for generations regardless of what the box says.
