Description

Khamrah Mira is Lattafa’s feminine reading of the fragrance that made the house a household name in Britain. Where the original Khamrah is spiced dates and boozy warmth, Mira keeps the gourmand heart and sends it somewhere brighter and more floral: red currant, jasmine sambac and roasted tonka in an eau de parfum the brand describes as an exploration of femininity through a new lens.

The scent, note by note

The opening is bright and tart rather than sweet. Red currant leads with a sharp, juicy redness, mandarin lifts it, and cinnamon threads through underneath to keep the link to the rest of the Khamrah family intact. It is immediately recognisable as a Khamrah and immediately different from one.

The heart is where Mira earns the floral gourmand label. Jasmine sambac brings a rich, almost creamy white floral, orange flower adds a honeyed softness, and Rosyfolia, a trademarked speciality material, gives a rosy facet without the full weight of rose. Chestnut sits underneath all of it, warm and nutty, and it is the note that stops the flowers from floating away.

The base is deep and comforting. Tonka roasted absolute is the signature move here, darker and more caramelised than ordinary tonka, with Madagascar vanilla and benzoin resin adding smooth sweetness. Cocoa Pulse, another trademarked material, brings a dry chocolate edge, and musk softens the whole thing into skin. Two captive materials named on a pyramid at this price is unusual.

How it wears

Expect the performance the Khamrah name is known for. The tart opening settles within the first hour, then the tonka, vanilla and cocoa base stays close and sweet through the day and lasts noticeably longer on clothing than on skin.

Two sprays is plenty, and one is often enough indoors. Gourmands carry further than people expect, and Mira is no exception.

Who it is for

Mira is for anyone who loves the Khamrah signature but wants something less heavy and less obviously wintry. The floral heart makes it far more wearable in daylight and in warmer months than the original.

It also suits people coming to Arabian fragrance from sweet designer gourmands, who want the same comfort with more depth and considerably better longevity.

Lattafa present it as a women’s fragrance, and the floral heart does lean that way, though the chestnut and cocoa base keeps it from being purely sweet.

Getting the best from it

Apply to the chest and the back of the neck rather than the wrists, where fragrance rubs off fastest. One spray on a scarf or coat will carry the scent far longer than anything on skin.

Give a new bottle two to four weeks before judging it. Arabian fragrances commonly round out as they macerate, and the red currant in particular softens into the florals. Keep it stored properly, away from heat and light, to protect the vanilla and resins.

Where it sits in the Khamrah range

Khamrah is now a family rather than a single fragrance, and each one goes somewhere different.

  • Khamrah is the original: cinnamon, dates, tonka and praline. Warm, boozy and built for winter.
  • Khamrah Dukhan takes it smoky, adding incense and a darker edge.
  • Khamrah Qahwa goes towards coffee and cardamom, the most obviously gourmand of the line.
  • Khamrah Waha is the unisex interpretation and the most refined.
  • Khamrah Mira is the floral one, and the only member of the family built around white flowers rather than spice.

If you are new to the line, our full Khamrah review walks through what the original actually smells like, and a 2ml sample is the cheapest way to find out whether the family suits you.

Layering and styling

Mira layers beautifully over a plain vanilla, which pushes it further into gourmand territory and extends the base. Worn alone it keeps more of its floral lift.

It suits knitwear and winter fabrics, where the tonka and cocoa cling and release slowly, but the red currant and jasmine make it work far better in spring than a spiced gourmand normally would.

Khamrah Mira FAQs

What does Khamrah Mira smell like?

A radiant floral gourmand. Red currant, cinnamon and mandarin open it with a tart brightness, jasmine sambac, orange flower and chestnut fill the middle, and roasted tonka, Madagascar vanilla, cocoa and benzoin give it a deep, comforting base.

How is Khamrah Mira different from the original Khamrah?

The original is spiced and boozy, built on cinnamon, dates and praline for cold weather. Mira keeps the sweet tonka and vanilla base but replaces the spice with white flowers and red currant, which makes it brighter, softer and far easier to wear in daylight.

Is Khamrah Mira long lasting?

Yes. The gourmand base of tonka, vanilla and cocoa is made of heavy, slow-evaporating materials, so expect it to stay with you through the day and to linger on clothing afterwards.

When should I wear it?

Lattafa describe it as a signature for day into night, and that is fair. The floral heart keeps it appropriate for daytime and the office in a way the original Khamrah is not, while the base has more than enough depth for an evening.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are your fragrances 100% genuine?
Yes. Every fragrance we sell is authentic, brand-new and factory-sealed, sourced from authorised suppliers. We never sell testers, refills or imitations — each bottle is batch-coded so you can verify it.
How fast is delivery?
We offer free tracked UK delivery on every order. Orders placed before 2pm on a working day are dispatched the same day, and typically arrive within 2–3 working days.
How long will the scent last?
Longevity varies by fragrance and skin type. You can see our guidance for this scent in the Fragrance Profile above — richer amber, oud and gourmand scents generally last longest, while fresh and citrus styles are lighter.
How should I store my perfume?
Keep it away from direct sunlight, heat and humidity — a cool, dark drawer or cupboard is ideal. Stored well, a sealed fragrance keeps its quality for years.
