Magnus by Brandy Prestige: Sea Salt, Mirabelle and Amber
Magnus is the most distinctive composition in the Prestige line, and the reason is one note most brands never touch. Sea salt sits in the heart, giving it a mineral, slightly briny quality that turns what could have been an ordinary fresh amber into something you notice.
The opening is bright and aromatic. Lemon and lavender lead, pink pepper adds a spicy edge, and melon brings a watery sweetness that plays directly into the salt underneath. Fresh without being sporty.
The heart is where it gets interesting. Dry amber and cardamom bring warmth, mirabelle plum adds a soft stone-fruit sweetness, and the sea salt cuts across all of it. That salt-and-fruit contrast is the whole idea.
Tonka bean, ambergris, vanilla and musk close it out, warm and smooth, with the ambergris echoing the mineral quality from the heart so the salt thread runs the full length of the wear.

How it wears
Extrait concentration, and the amber and tonka base gives it real endurance. Expect the fresh phase to hold for the first hour or two before the salted amber settles in for the rest of the day.
Genuinely versatile. The salt and citrus keep it from feeling heavy in warm weather, while the amber and vanilla base give it enough warmth for winter. One of the few in the range with no obvious wrong season.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants a fresh fragrance that is not simply another citrus. The sea salt is a genuine point of difference, and it makes this considerably more memorable than the aquatic style it superficially resembles.
It also suits people who like sweetness but not gourmands. The mirabelle and vanilla here are restrained rather than dessert-like.
