Hawas Ice is the 2023 flanker that took the most successful Arabian aquatic of the last decade and sharpened it. Same recognisable Hawas skeleton, colder edges: crisp apple and Italian citrus with a twist of star anise, a fruity floral heart, and a musk, amber and driftwood base that holds on for most of a day. If the original Hawas felt a shade too sweet for you, this is the version to try.

This is the pyramid Rasasi publishes and it matches the entry on Fragrantica. You will find listings elsewhere describing Hawas Ice with mint, lavender, geranium or marine accords. None of those notes are in this fragrance.
How it wears
The opening is where Ice earns its name. Italian lemon and Sicilian bergamot arrive sharp and cold, apple gives a crisp bite rather than a sugary one, and star anise adds a faint liquorice-like coolness that most fresh fragrances never bother with. It genuinely does read frozen for the first few minutes.
Then the family resemblance appears. Plum and orange blossom bring the fruity sweetness the Hawas line is known for, softened by cardamom, and from here Ice and the original start to converge. Anyone expecting the icy opening to last all day will be surprised; anyone who wanted a brighter way into the same scent will be happy.
The base is clean and slightly dry: musk and amber for warmth, driftwood and moss for a salty, mineral edge that keeps it from turning into a plain sweet musk. It settles close to the skin and stays there.
Hawas Ice or the original Hawas?
Worth being straight about, because the community has argued over it since 2023. The two share most of their DNA. Ice trades the original’s dense, almost bubblegum sweetness for a crisper citrus and apple opening, and it is the better pick for hot weather and for anyone who found the original too sweet. Beyond the first half hour the difference narrows considerably.
Our honest advice: own one, not both. Choose Ice if you want bright and cold at the top, and the original Hawas if you want the fuller, sweeter, warmer version that started it all.
Performance
Strong for a fresh fragrance. Expect seven to nine hours on skin, with confident projection through the first couple of hours before it settles into a close scent bubble, and longer again on clothing. Two or three sprays are plenty.
When to wear it
Spring and summer are its natural home, and it is one of the better choices for genuine heat, where the citrus and mossy base stay comfortable. It suits the office, daytime, travel and the gym, and it is inoffensive enough to wear around people who dislike heavy fragrance.
