Areebah is the exotic one. Tropical fruits, osmanthus and saffron open it bright and spiced, patchouli, frangipani and oud give the heart real depth, and it settles into Madagascar vanilla, cedarwood and musk. Rich and warm with the kind of structure you normally pay considerably more for.

What it smells like
The opening is unusual and it is what sets Areebah apart. Osmanthus is a flower that smells of apricot and leather at once, rare in fragrances at this price, and paired with tropical fruit and bittersweet saffron it creates an opening that reads exotic rather than simply sweet.
The heart goes deeper than the opening suggests. Frangipani brings a creamy tropical floral, patchouli adds earthiness, and oud sits underneath giving weight. This is where it stops being a fruity fragrance and becomes an oriental one.
The dry down is smooth and lasting. Madagascar vanilla is the good kind, rich rather than flat, cedarwood gives dry structure, and musk ties it together. It becomes a warm woody vanilla skin scent that holds for hours.
Performance
Strong. Projection is considerable in the opening hours with a fruity-spiced glow, then it settles into a warm woody vanilla that runs beyond eight hours on skin. Two or three sprays are plenty, and clothing holds it longer.

Autumn and winter suit it best, and it belongs to evenings, dinners and occasions. The tropical opening keeps it wearable on milder days, though in real heat the patchouli and vanilla amplify considerably.
