Veloce is the most grown-up thing Riiffs makes. It opens bright and polished on grapefruit, aldehydes and bergamot, turns dark and resinous through myrrh, labdanum and jasmine, then finishes creamy on tonka, vanilla and amber. That arc, from sparkling to smoky to soft, is the kind of structure you normally pay several times more for.

What it smells like
The opening is where the aldehydes do their work, and they are worth understanding if the word is unfamiliar. Aldehydes do not smell of any particular thing; they add lift, sparkle and a clean, slightly soapy brightness, and they are the reason classic perfumes feel polished rather than flat. Here they sit under grapefruit and bergamot, giving the citrus an airy, expensive quality instead of a simple fruit-juice freshness.
The heart is the surprise and the reason to buy it. Myrrh brings a dark, faintly medicinal resin, labdanum adds sticky amber warmth, and jasmine softens both with a white floral sweetness.
