Amber Rose by Brandy Prestige: Oud, Honey and Leather
Amber Rose is the most opulent thing in the Prestige line and it starts as it means to go on. Oud appears in the top notes rather than waiting for the base, joined by honey, pink pepper and elemi. That is an unusually assertive opening, and it tells you immediately this is not a gentle fragrance.

The heart softens it without weakening it. Saffron adds a warm leathery glow, orange blossom and jasmine bring florals, and cashmere gives the middle a smooth, enveloping quality that stops the wood turning harsh.
The base is where it goes properly deep. Agarwood returns alongside ambergris, oakmoss and leather, an old-school combination that reads dark and resinous with a mineral, animalic edge underneath.
Worth noting that despite the name, rose does not appear in the published note list. The floral character comes from orange blossom and jasmine.

How it wears
Extrait concentration on a composition built around oud, leather and oakmoss produces serious longevity. Expect strong projection for the first several hours and a dense trail well into the evening.
Cold weather and evenings only, in honesty. One spray indoors is enough.
Who it suits
Anyone who already wears oud seriously and wants something with more happening than a straightforward saffron and agarwood build. The honey and ambergris give it a richness most affordable ouds do not attempt.
Not a starting point. Oud Mystery is the gentler entry into the Prestige ouds.
