Oud Secrete by Brandy Prestige: Saffron, Florals and Leather
Oud Secrete is the traditionalist of Brandy’s oud line, and the one that behaves most like a classic Arabian composition. Saffron opens it, warm and faintly leathery in its own right, with cardamom and nutmeg adding dry spice around it.
What lifts it above the ordinary is the heart. Osmanthus is an unusual choice at this price, apricot-skinned and slightly leathery, and it sits beautifully between the jasmine and rose. Most affordable ouds skip straight from spice to wood. This one takes its time.
The base is where the name earns itself: agarwood and leather together, softened by tonka bean and grounded with patchouli. Smoky, dry and properly resinous.

How it wears
This is the heaviest of the Brandy ouds and the extrait concentration compounds that. It projects properly for the first two to three hours and then settles into a dense skin scent that holds for the rest of the day. On a coat it will still be there the next morning.
Cold weather and evenings. This is not an office fragrance in July, and one spray is genuinely enough indoors.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants a real oud rather than an oud-flavoured amber. The leather and agarwood base does not compromise, and if smoky resinous fragrances are unfamiliar territory this is the deep end rather than the shallow.
Rose and saffron have been worn by everyone across the Gulf for generations, so the unisex classification is accurate rather than diplomatic.
