Oud Magique by Brandy Prestige: Incense, Leather and Plum
Oud Magique is the smoky one. Plum and mandarin give it a fruited opening with bergamot brightening the edges and saffron threading through, but the fruit is a short prelude rather than the point.
The heart is where it commits. Incense arrives with cistus alongside it, resinous and slightly medicinal, and orris adds a cool powdery weight that keeps the smoke from turning harsh. Leather sits underneath the whole thing.
By the base it has softened considerably. Musk and vanilla round off the sharper edges, with patchouli holding the earthiness in place. The arc runs from fruit through smoke to warmth, which is a lot of ground for one fragrance to cover.
Worth flagging that despite the name, agarwood does not appear in the published note list. The dark character here comes from incense, cistus and leather rather than from oud itself.

How it wears
Incense and leather are persistent materials, and at extrait concentration they last. Expect strong projection for the first few hours and a smoky trail that stays detectable well into the evening.
Autumn and winter. Incense in warm weather turns heavy quickly, and this is a fragrance that rewards cold air.
Who it suits
Anyone drawn to incense fragrances, which is a smaller group than the oud audience but a devoted one. If you like the church-and-resin register rather than the sweet-and-woody one, this is the bottle in the range for you.
Not a good starting point for someone new to Arabian fragrance. Try Oud Mystery first if the smoke sounds daunting.
