Hawas is the fragrance that made Rasasi a household name outside the Gulf. Released in 2015, it has spent a decade as one of the most recommended Middle Eastern fragrances at any price, and every flanker since has been measured against it. What it actually smells like
The opening is fruity rather than citrusy, which surprises people expecting a standard blue fragrance. Apple leads, bergamot and lemon sharpen it, and cinnamon adds a thread of warm spice that is unusual in an aquatic and is a large part of why Hawas does not smell like everything else.
The heart is where the fragrance divides opinion, and it is worth being straight about it.
