Part of Rasasi’s Duo Collection released in 2025, this is a salty aquatic built on sea salt and ginger over seaweed and vetiver, finishing on cedarwood and oakmoss. Where most fresh fragrances aim for clean, Rafan aims for the actual sea: mineral, slightly briny and unusually textured for the price.

What it smells like

The opening is bracing. Sea salt gives an immediate saline freshness, and ginger adds a dry spiced warmth that keeps it from reading as a plain marine fragrance. It is cool without being cold, and clean without being soapy.

The heart is where Rafan separates itself from the crowd. Seaweed is a note very few fragrances at this price attempt, and it works here, adding a green, faintly oceanic texture that feels closer to standing on a shoreline than to a generic aquatic accord. Vetiver runs underneath with its dry, rooty earthiness.

The base settles into cedarwood and oakmoss: composed, dry and slightly mossy, holding the freshness in place rather than sweetening it. The overall impression that wearers describe most often is freshly showered skin and clean laundry, which is exactly why it works as an everyday fragrance.

Performance
