Amber Oud by Brandy: Citrus, Fruit and Golden Amber
Worth setting expectations from the name. Amber Oud carries no agarwood in its published note list. What it delivers is a bright citrus opening over a warm amber-vanilla base, which is a different proposition and a considerably more wearable one.
Orange, bergamot and lemon open it together, sharp and clean. Unspecified fruit notes carry the heart, keeping the sweetness juicy rather than sugary.
The base is where the name earns half its keep. White musk, amber and Madagascar vanilla, warm and golden, sitting close to the skin. Amber is genuinely present. Oud is not.

How it wears
The citrus opening fades within the first half hour, as citrus always does, and the amber and vanilla base carries the rest of the day sitting close to the skin.
