Catalina by Brandy: Litchi, Rhubarb and Turkish Rose
Catalina is a three-note composition, and the whole thing rests on one pairing done well. Litchi and rhubarb open it together, sweet and tart at once, which is a more interesting combination than either would be alone. Rhubarb in particular brings a green, sharp edge that keeps the litchi from turning candied.

Turkish rose takes the heart and holds it. This is the expensive rose variety, richer and more honeyed than the Bulgarian sort, and against the fruit it reads luxurious rather than old-fashioned.
What you get is a fruity rose that stays bright throughout rather than sinking into a heavy base, because there is no heavy base to sink into.
