Hoor is the richest of the recent Riiffs releases and the one most likely to get you stopped in a corridor. It is an extrait de parfum at 80% concentration rather than an eau de parfum, which explains the density. Juicy raspberry and soft suede open it, orange blossom, tonka and ginger warm the middle, and it finishes on amber, praline and vanilla. Sweet, plush and unapologetically warm, it is a cold-weather fragrance built for being noticed.

What it smells like
The opening pairs two things that rarely meet. Raspberry arrives bright and juicy, tart rather than jammy, and underneath it suede brings a soft, slightly powdery leather texture. Fruit over suede is an unusual combination and it gives Hoor an immediate signature.
The heart softens and warms. Orange blossom adds a clean floral sweetness, ginger keeps a dry spiced edge so the sugar never takes over completely, and tonka bean begins the transition into the base with its almond and hay warmth.
The dry down is where it commits. Praline brings a caramelised nutty sweetness, vanilla rounds everything off, and amber holds it all in a warm glow. This is a proper gourmand finish rather than a hint of one, and it sits close and comforting.
