Salvage Elixir by Brandy: Cinnamon, Lavender and Licorice
Worth being precise about the name. Salvage Elixir is Brandy’s take on Dior’s Sauvage Elixir specifically, not the standard Sauvage. The two Dior fragrances have different pyramids, and Brandy makes separate versions of each, so it matters which one you are after.
It opens with real spice. Cinnamon, nutmeg and cardamom together, warm and slightly sharp, with grapefruit cutting through to keep it from feeling heavy too early. Lavender carries the heart alone, aromatic rather than sweet.
The base is where the elixir character comes through properly. Licorice brings a dark, faintly aniseed richness, sandalwood and amber add warmth, patchouli deepens it further, and Haitian vetiver closes it out dry and earthy. Dense and long-lasting, which is exactly what an elixir concentration promises.

How it wears
Licorice and vetiver are both persistent materials, and even at Eau de Parfum strength this holds well. Expect the spice to lead for the first hour or so before the licorice and amber base settles in for the rest of the day.
Autumn and winter. This is a dense, warm composition that suits cold air far better than a hot office.
Who it suits
Anyone who wants the darker, spicier end of the Sauvage family rather than the brighter original. If you have tried a standard Sauvage-style fragrance and found it too clean, this goes the other direction entirely.
