Pink Musc Black is the darker presentation of Brandy’s rosy musk idea. Rose and peach open it soft and rounded, musk and amber carry the heart, and patchouli and sandalwood ground it with earth and creamy wood.
The musk is the centre of it. Clean and skin-like rather than animalic, warm without demanding attention, the sort of composition designed to smell like you rather than like a fragrance.
Worth being straightforward about one thing. Brandy publishes the same note list for Pink Musc Black as for Pink Musc, so any difference between the two lies in the treatment and the proportions rather than in the materials used. If you already own one, the other will be familiar territory.
