How we checked this. Every note list below comes from each fragrance’s own published pyramid, not from retail listings, because retailers often copy the wrong pyramid. Comparisons to designer fragrances are what wearers report in reviews, not claims Lattafa makes, and they are labelled that way. Where a pyramid is disputed, we say so rather than pick one.
The short answer
There are five Yaras worth knowing, and they are not five strengths of one scent. Each is its own composition.
- Yara (the original pink bottle) is the creamy, powdery vanilla one. Start here if you have never worn the line.
- Yara Moi is the most grown-up: woodier and more floral, with less sugar.
- Yara Tous is the tropical one: mango, coconut and passionfruit. The summer Yara.
- Yara Candy is the fruitiest and most playful: blackcurrant and strawberry sweets over vanilla.
- Yara Elixir is the richest: strawberry, caramel and vanilla, often described as a deeper Candy.
The five side by side
| Fragrance | Released | Character | Key notes | Most often compared to |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Yara | 2020 | Creamy, powdery vanilla | Orchid, heliotrope, tangerine, vanilla, musk | No clear consensus |
| Yara Moi | 2022 | Soft white floral, woody | Pyramid disputed (see below) | Dior J’adore, by a minority of wearers |
| Yara Tous | 2023 | Tropical, fruity, creamy | Mango, coconut, passionfruit, jasmine, vanilla | Mugler Alien Goddess Eau de Parfum |
| Yara Candy | 2024 | Fruity, sweet, playful | Blackcurrant, strawberry candy, gardenia, vanilla | No clear consensus |
| Yara Elixir | 2025 | Rich, caramel gourmand | Strawberry, blackcurrant, caramel, vanilla, amber | Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 |
Yara: the original
Published notes: orchid, heliotrope and tangerine, over a gourmand accord and tropical fruits, on vanilla, musk and sandalwood.
This is the bottle that made the line famous, and its appeal is easy to describe: it smells soft, creamy and clean-sweet, like vanilla with a powdery heliotrope edge. The tangerine gives a brief bright opening, then it settles into a skin-close, comforting cloud.
You will see Yara called a dupe of several different designer scents, but wearers do not agree on one. That is worth knowing, because it means Yara is best judged as its own fragrance rather than as a stand-in for something else.
Buy it if you want an easy, likeable everyday scent, or you are buying for someone and want the safest pick in the line.
Yara Moi: the grown-up one
The published note list gives Yara Moi as jasmine and peach, over caramel and amber, on patchouli and sandalwood. Several reviewers on that same page dispute it, quoting a different list of pear, pink pepper and blackcurrant, over tuberose, jasmine and almond, on vanilla, cashmeran and patchouli. We cannot settle which is right, so we describe it by character instead.
What wearers agree on is the shape: Yara Moi is the least sugary of the five. It reads as a soft white floral with a woody, slightly warm base. If the original Yara feels too sweet or too young on you, this is the one to try.
A minority of reviewers compare it to Dior J’adore. That comparison is not consistent enough to rely on.
Buy it if you want a Yara for work or for someone who prefers florals to desserts.
Yara Tous: the tropical one
Published notes: mango, coconut and passionfruit, over jasmine, orange blossom and heliotrope, on vanilla, musk and cashmeran.
Tous takes the creamy Yara base on holiday. The opening is juicy tropical fruit, the heart is white flowers, and the vanilla underneath keeps the family resemblance. It is the brightest and most summery of the line.
Yara Tous is widely compared to Mugler Alien Goddess Eau de Parfum, based on community feedback, and it is the strongest designer comparison in the whole line. Not everyone agrees: some wearers find the resemblance loose. A smaller group compares it to Rabanne Fame.
Buy it if you want a warm-weather Yara, or you like Alien Goddess and want something in the same mood.
Yara Candy: the playful one
Published notes: blackcurrant and green tangerine, over strawberry fizz candy and gardenia, on vanilla, musk, amber and sandalwood.
The name is accurate. Candy is the fruitiest and most obviously sweet of the five, with a sherbet-like strawberry and blackcurrant opening over a vanilla base. It is fun rather than serious, and it leans young.
There is no consistent designer comparison for Candy. Wearers mention a scatter of sweet fruity scents, none often enough to call it a dupe of anything.
Buy it if you love fruity-sweet fragrances and want the most cheerful bottle in the line.
Yara Elixir: the richest one
Published notes: strawberry s’mores and blackcurrant, over jasmine and orange blossom, on vanilla, caramel, amber and musk.
Elixir is the newest Yara and the most indulgent. It keeps Candy’s strawberry and blackcurrant but pushes the base much further into caramel and amber, which is why wearers often call it the intense version of Candy.
Yara Elixir is widely compared to Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81, based on community feedback. Some reviewers call it close; others call it a distant relative rather than a dupe.
Buy it if you like Candy but want more depth, or you want a dessert-sweet scent for autumn and winter evenings.
Which Yara should you buy?
- Your first Yara: the original.
- For the office or a more mature taste: Yara Moi.
- For summer and holidays: Yara Tous.
- For the sweetest, most playful wear: Yara Candy.
- For colder months and evenings: Yara Elixir.
- Cannot decide: try samples first. We sell 2ml samples of Yara, Yara Tous and Yara Elixir, and the My Yara Collection Set holds four 25ml bottles from the line.
The Honest View
The Yara line is popular because each bottle does one clear job well, not because any of them is a perfect copy of a designer fragrance. Only Tous and Elixir have a consistent designer comparison, and even those are described as close relatives rather than twins. Buy the Yara whose character suits you, not the one with the most famous comparison.

Frequently asked questions
Which Yara smells the best?
It depends on taste. The original is the most universally liked, Moi suits people who find sweet scents too much, and Tous is the favourite for warm weather.
Are the Yara flankers stronger versions of the original?
No. Moi, Tous, Candy and Elixir are separate compositions with different note lists. They share a creamy, vanilla-leaning style, not a formula.
What is Yara Tous a dupe of?
It is most often compared to Mugler Alien Goddess Eau de Parfum, and less often to Rabanne Fame. Wearers do not all agree on how close it is.
What is Yara Elixir compared to?
Kayali Yum Boujee Marshmallow | 81 is the most common comparison. Many wearers also describe it as a deeper version of Yara Candy.
Which Yara is best for summer?
Yara Tous. Its mango, coconut and passionfruit opening makes it the brightest of the five.
Which Yara is least sweet?
Yara Moi. It reads as a soft floral with a woody base rather than a dessert scent.
Is Yara only for women?
All five are marketed to women. Anyone who enjoys creamy, sweet or floral scents can wear them.
